It's funny how the smallest of things can trip you up. I was going along quite happily (well maybe 'not unhappy' is a better description), I'd taught my last class, marked my last composition, given my last feedback. I'd been to the gym and tomorrow I'll deal with anxious students for the last time this year.
Everything was on track, I was in the supermarket getting something for supper when I had a flashback. November last year, being in the supermarket with him, I'd forgotten to get the fresh fruit and veg weighed - he remembered; I'd bought a bottle of port for nightcaps - he opened it for me. Little things.
I had to bite the inside of my cheek very hard to stop myself from bursting into tears.
No matter how big a bastard he's been (and it was big) I still miss him.

Shiralee,
Sorry you seem to be having a low time at the moment. Hope things pick up soon. I have been looking at your blog because, as I told you before, I think it really clear and uncomplicated. The sort of blog spot that Mike wants for his pegs. Consequently I have just set up one for him ... not as good as yours, we are innocent in the world of blogs so hope that you will drop by Mikes spot and if you feel like giving some constructive criticism ... or saying anything at all ... we'd be pleased to hear from you. hello Shiralee,
you seems a bit under the weather (if I'm correct, but you know what I means).
Well, think at the good little things of the life, friday evening with prosecco and cheese just an example.
Sorry to be offline so much but is here the end-of-the-year panic : I feel my tax consultant just made a very big mistake (again!!) which could means enormous trouble to me, and I have 3 working days to fix it , one way or another.
On top of this, the 19 I'll have the official act at the notary for my (MY, my God, I'll have all the freedom to shape it to my wishes and taste, no compromises here, no wifes anymore...just a Chinese wanna-be-your-next-but-will-see-plenty-of-time....)new house, then on the 10\1 new company ( how you feel me as "Ceo"???? ) take care then, gym is a very good step.
